Shingle bed planting

Several Dover residents joined in with the re-planting  of the shingle beds on Dover’s esplanade. The beds have generared much interest and we often receive photographs from local residents who have enjoyed watching this planting flourish.

The original plantings had not survived and this second  planting took place during Love Architecture 2012 with the Esplanade architects Anna Lui and Mike Tonkin taking part. Thanks to the aftercare by local residents there is now a colourful display for visitors and residents to enjoy down on the sea front.
