Diana Baldwin

Diana Baldwin was born and brought up in Folkestone. Building on her degree in Archaeology and Anthropology from Cambridge University she explores the relationships between the past, the present, material culture and landscape. Working principally with textiles her current work considers whether the slow rhythmic necessity of hand stitch may be a way to come alongside issues, challenges and memories. Where St Augustine is said to have walked “solvitur ambulando” – it may also be possible to sew.
