There is much discourse about migration, what constitutes home and where we choose to settle and why?
Dover Arts Development (DAD) and Cliffs of Sanctuary invited 12 guests to join a conversation with others who have settled in Dover and work here.
Nepalese finger food was provided by Surabhi from Momo on the Move and the urban room provided the table to eat and chat together in a safe space on Thursday November 13th 2025 6pm – 9pm
Following a general chat guests came to the the table where they Introduced themselves and shared how they had come to settle in Dover.
Simon Bill introduced DOVER containing 12 of his essays and published by DAD.
This was followed by the dinner conversation on the theme of “arrivals departures and settlers”. One conversation with everyone a speaker and listener with no one speaking at the same time as someone else.
8.40 (approx.). a piece of music from Richard Bundy brought the Salon to a close at 9pm
“It was a good gathering with super interesting and diverse people, an awesome venue and delicious food.
The conversation was rich and could have continued longer but was good to keep it thick and alive.
Consensus was to do it again at some point.”
