Australian violist Lucas Levin is an active performer and teacher. A committed chamber musician, he regularly gives recitals with his duo partner Yi-Shing Cheng and is deeply involved with quartet playing. He has appeared as principal violist of the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra, Royal Academy Opera, the London Mahler Orchestra and more.
Lucas is currently finishing a Masters of Music at the Royal Academy of Music, where he is performing research on digital spatial sound experiences. He is studying with Paul Silverthorne and Hélène Clément and has previously learnt with Jon Thorne, Julian Quirit and Simon Oswell.
Outside of music, Lucas has diplomas in acting and French, and a Bachelor of Science and creates websites and mobile apps.
