Charlotte Chapman trained in 3D Design at Ravensbourne College and went on to complete a PGCE in Design Education at Goldsmiths College. From there she became a secondary school teacher in Design & Technology in South East London before leading the design department at Auckland Girls Grammar School in New Zealand. In 2014 she joined Creative Youth Network as their Creative Learning Manager. In 2016 she lectured in Creative & Therapeutic Arts at the University of South Wales.

Returning to Kent to be closer to family she took the role of Participation Manager for Canterbury Festival and in 2021 became the South East Development Officer for Creative Lives. She continues a freelance practice rooted in participatory approaches and community engagement.
