Beyond the reach of the planners!
Goetz Diergarten’s new photographic image can now be seen on all ten free-standing signboards throughout Dover Town Centre. The image is of four houses in Dover, which together form a composition of subtle pinks and greys. It shows Diergarten’s liking for the colours resulting from the weathering of painted surfaces and also reflects his interest in vernacular architecture and the way that individuals personalise their surroundings. Here we see how Dover residents have made their houses their own and the image is a warm tribute to their skills.
